I am presently expressing a long held passion for machinery -
it's size, strength, and organic nature.
I ride a
Harley Davidson, and never tire of its glorious shapes,
perfected over 100 years of adaptation; created to be
admired, worshipped, and also each part to operate as a
necessary part of the whole.
All machines'
basic designs are driven by their purpose, but can also
translate into sculptural shapes, and often finally decay;
appearing static, but in reality, still in the process of
change.
Subjects are
presently drawn from the decaying objects at Coal Creek
Historical Village, where funds are no longer available
for the upkeep of historic objects.
Rusty trains,
rotting windows and metal objects that don't readily give
up their original purpose. The pieces tell their own
story.
